Richard & Rachel Reed - AMT - Zambia
Richard is a teacher of mathematics and physics who has somehow found himself with a maintenance role. His days are filled with arranging small and large repairs and/or improvements to buildings, roads, grounds, vehicles, generators, tools, hospital equipment, furniture, and anything else that might not be functioning as it should or could be functioning better. He arranges for purchasing and transport of building materials, fuels etc and he helps administratively by calculating the monthly payroll. He takes opportunities offered for doing bible teaching and preaching and he is hoping to return to teaching at the local secondary school some time soon.
Rachel is one of two qualified midwives running a department that attends to almost 1000 births per year, as well as holding weekly antenatal, postnatal and family planning clinics. She also runs the Anti-Retroviral Therapy clinic for HIV positive patients every alternate week, assessing the health and wellbeing of each “client”, making sure they are following their drug regime correctly and dispensing their drugs for the next month. She also serves on both the Executive Committee and the Board of Management for the hospital. In her spare time she manages the household and does home kindergarten lessons with Melissa.
Natalia, Jackson and Kirrilee all attend Sakeji School, approximately 20km from Kalene Mission, as weekly boarders.

Chris & Judy Ayers - AMT/SEND International - Poland
Chris and Judy together with their four children are co-opted to SEND as part of a church planting team in Opole - Poland. At present most of their time is devoted to language study as they acclimatise to the country and settle the children in to their schools.
SEND's role in Poland is to plant multiplying evangelical churches and to build up existing churches. SEND is working alongside churches in Poland who share our evangelical faith. SEND is presently working in south western Poland in the cities of Lubin, Wroclaw and Opole. There is a need for long and short-term personnel from around the world to join these church-planting teams. Long-term personal with strong relational skills would be active in friendship evangelism and discipleship, and others with strong skills in teaching, preaching and leadership training would facilitate formal training.
